Wine Description:

Côte-Rôtie, the most famous cru in the Côtes-du-Rhône, is cultivated on two vertiginous hillsides. The narrow Roman terraces have been “roasting” the grapes since ancient times. The microclimate of Ampuis—a perfect blend of southern sunshine and cool, moist air from Burgundy—allows for the production of an exceptional wine. François Merlin had long dreamed of this small, unique plot of Côte Brune before finally succeeding in adding it to the estate. This Côte-Rôtie is a sensual wine that unfolds its delicate aromas in stages, leading to a long, spectacular finish. A source of pride for the estate!
