- Type: White
- Region: Alsace, France
- Alcohol Level: 12.5%
Wine Description:
The Grand Cru Ollwiller, located in the southern Alsace region near Wuenheim, is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine-growing terroirs in the area. Nestled at the foot of the Vosges foothills, this historic vineyard is distinguished by its marl-sandstone soils, which provide grape varieties like Riesling and Gewurztraminer with a unique expression, combining finesse and complexity.
Tasting Note:
With its shiny pale yellow colour and silver tints, the Riesling Grand Cru Ollwiller shows a remarkable nose, refined, intense with mineral aromas and notes of citrus peels, mandarin, aromas of stone fruit (plum). After a fresh attack it shows a sweet bitterness and a great persistence on the palate, a good freshness and is wellbalanced.
